It is a fun thing to make the local smile whenever you speak their language, every time you travel abroad. It is also one of the best ways to express how thankful you are to see what they have.

This sounds really nice to pronounce.
Anyway, please what country and culture is this language from. Your location states U.S.A.
I think it will be nice to also know the country.
Hi! Sorry, I forgot, that is a Filipino Language. I'm a Filipino living in the US, and still proud of my national language Tagalog
and native dialect Visayan.

Kudos to you Sheena! Proud Filipina!

For some reason I always hated the summer and it's incredibly depressive for me, but I love the Autumn/Fall months! :)

Summer is my most hated season of all, the humid and pollution all in one. :D

I'll pass Truth Law. A law prohibiting all from telling lies :-D lol

I think there are some lies that are better than an awful truth (death related). If I were to implement a law it would be to force people to recycle their waste.

I think there's already an Environmental Law regarding waste recycling but it's just not that heavily enforced (in my country...sad but true).

In my country is soooooo difficult!. Even if you place a bin to sort out waste, other people don't pay attention to it and use it as a regular bin.

Same story here. For other's it's just a waste of time for sure.

Oh you're an Architect, that so great.
You must have really good drafts and plans for sure.
Hopefully, Philippines will be one from your list in the future. :)

You should recommend some sites to visit in Philippines! :hushed:

I will surely recommend Coron, Palawan and Aklan, Boracay for you. Boracay is similar (close to) to Maldives. :)

The importance of communication is often overlooked. Despite our great prowess in communication, misunderstandings and mistranslations are commonplace. It is arrogant to believe that one can travel the world and expect all of mankind to understand his or her native tongue. In order to travel the world, whether for business or pleasure, a desire and willingness to adapt to new cultures and methods is necessary.

Adaptability, of course, includes the ability to communicate with new people in various dialects. Being unable to communicate in a country is akin to living with a serious impairment; it is very difficult and near impossible, to adapt and get along with new people if there is no way to communicate with one another.

Mine is Greece, Santorini!

Why?

The most dramatic of all the Greek islands, Santorini is best known for the cliff-top towns of Fira and Oia, which lie on the west coast, overlooking the deep, blue sea-filled caldera. :)

Mas madalas maging kritiko ng pilipino ang kapwa nito pilipino pag dating sa lenguaheng Ingles, nakakalungkot lang isipin na masyadong binibigyang diin at importansya ng mga pilipino ang abilidad ng kanyang kapwa lahi pag dating sa paraan ng pag sasalita at pagsusulat ng nasabing lenguahe.

Ikaw, anung masasabi mo sa mga tao na basehan ang pagiging matalino ang galing sa pag sasalita ng lenguaheng Ingles?

Every Day & Everyday

This mistake is again an easy one to make. Many children are taught incorrectly by teachers in elementary school that the word “everyday” means that something happens each day.

This is incorrect. The word “everyday” actually means common. When you want to talk about something that happens each day, you need “every day”.

“I eat an apple everyday every day to stay healthy.”

“My mother walks the dog in the forest everyday every day.”

The hardest for me is Arabic, I've been working with the Arabs for four consecutive years and no matter how I tried, I just learned max of 20 Arabic words. I think Arabic is the most challenging for native English speakers. Like any language, there’s a substantial difference between being immersed in a language from birth and learning it at or beyond your teenage years.

For Arabic in particular, I think most of the difficulty comes from an overwhelming amount of grammar rules that are wildly inconsistent - most grammar rules have several exceptions that are often unique to individual words.
