Nice post. I never heard the one about smiling in Korea. But I smiled a lot in Seoul, and greeted people. I noticed pretty girls often stared at me, so I developed an interesting strategy. When they stared for too long, I'd wink at them. They would look away in disgust, so I quit doing that after a few times.

In the Philippines now.
