Gratefulness

It's funny that "click for an idea" asks me to write about being grateful today, since I've had a terrible week. I always remember a friend's saying: "you're unlucky just if you believe in bad luck", but there are days...
I'll make a list of the events: last Saturday I was heading to my mother's, but the car broke down. While I was wainting for the tow truck, I called her to put our meeting off, but she was really startled because she had fallen down at home, so I spent a small fortune on uber, just to get there and check it had more to do with neediness than with health. Then my mobile ran out of battery, and it was not that simple to return home. I know the car fixing will be really expensive because the problem is in the automatic gear.
On Sunday, I had to pay for a bad service I hired, because the contractor sent me threatening messages. and I'm not willing to deal with that kind of people. Later that day, a bird shited on my head!
On Monday, I was overwhelmed with errands which took me extra time because of having to do them on foot. When I went for grocery shopping, I found out I had lost my credit card.
I stayed home on Tuesday and did very few things, exactly because I realised things were not flowing.
On Wednesday, I was going to roast a chicken, but the oven didn't turn on. I had no car to take it to be fixed, and I had no credit card to buy a new one.
Today I was supposed to meet a friend I haven't seen for ages, but he has just called me to say he has COVID. Well, instead of thinking it's my bad luck still acting, I realised there are people in a trully difficult situation. My health is intact, let things break.

Here, it is considered lucky if a bird shits on your head. I have yet to find an actual victim who thinks this is so 🙄
