Companies's culture
When I started to work I frequently heard from my colleagues that I need to do my tasks perfectly and fast. That's the way people grow in the companies. However, the worst thing that I've heard was..."Order who can, obeys who has a sense". How so? Do you need to execute your job in the way other person tell you? And if you know a better way to do the same activity? If the company is hiring someone with experience, it's obvious that he or she will suggest new ways to do the same activity. Who is going to be hire will show it in the first days in this new job, however, the boss, manager, supervisor has his/her own way to do this, all the team is trained to do things like he/she wants, and this model is working in that way for years and years. The new employee shows his/her skills, ideas, suggestions, but after days, nothing in the routine changed, it's because he or she does not have the "power" to change nothing and everybody accept the situations day after day. In this moment the phrase "order who can, obeys who has a sense" is very common. So I ask: why companies are always looking for someone experienced if who is going to be hire will not be able to apply what he or she knows? We live in a world that changes happen very fast and if we have people with new ideias it could help a lot. On the other hand, if the company hires someone without experience, like a trainee, it is totally possible to traine this person to do the activities as good as the others. In my opinion, all of this is about company's culture, and it's really hard to change.
