I look to the right and find this picture of myself on the wall. It smiles back to me.
I was in my twenties, a time when I traveled to beaches a lot. This one is Cabo Frio, in Rio de Janeiro state. My friend Julia is a terrific photographer and captured my best profile. My best mood, as well. I had this huge curly mane which I was very proud of, and I used to wear a lot of beaded necklaces. Bikini all day long.
In the faint background you can see ghosted people facing the horizon, the sea water leveled to their knees or waist. What a strange, yet perfect activity! It's all blueish. 5 pm. It reminds me of the temperature, warm but pleasant, and of the light, open but not aggressive to the eyes. 5 pm.
