A Successful Day for a Mother
As a mom of two, I gauged a day's success based on how the day went for my kids and if I can still spare a few minutes for myself.
I consider a day to be successful when my kids are fed on time with minimal drama, when my sons have less screen time and more play time, and when they sleep before 10 pm without grumbling. An extra successful day for me would be if I was able to drink my coffee- hot and I get to shower without rush.
I feel like a day is failing when I just allow my kids to watch and not engaged with them. This sometimes happen when I'm really tired or busy. I also feel like a day is failing when there's a lot of unnecessary drama. I feel like these things could have been avoided if I prepared or planned things well.
