Giving up a piece of technology

I "clicked for an idea" and it was not just a coincidence that I've just ditched my microwave oven. My mother's has broken down, so I gave mine up to her. She's very old fashioned about devices and still believes in fixing them up, it's hard to convince her to buy a new one.
Well, I said I could live without it, because I only turned it on to warm my latte in the morning, but this morning I found myself confused. I'm used to repeating the same scene over and over: get up, go straight to the kitchen, get things from the fridge, boil water for coffee while I get other things done.
This morning I boiled milk, instead of warming it in the microwave. Simple! The problem was the sandwich. I put it in the gas oven, but after some minutes I realised I had used a plate! Luckly I had time to take it out before it heated up to breaking. I'm thinking of buying a new microwave even today!

Luckly Luckily I had time to take it out before it heated up to breaking point . I'm thinking of buying a new microwave even as early as today!
