Hello everyone. Today, I will walk you through the journey that made me a polyglot.
I was born in Ethiopia, a country with so many languages that fascinated me the most. I grew up with Amharic as my mother tongue.Academically, I was thought how to read, write and speak my language along with English(my second language).Ofcourse I did pretty well in Amharic but I don't believe school helped me much with English, which was very different from my mother tongue(different alphabet, different sentence structure.....). I watched lots of movies, talk shows and sitcoms, even before I knew how to spell words correctly and before I knew what tenses were. Now that's what I am doing with French, Korean and Russian. Surprisingly my theory works, 3-4 months ago I started learning french without being too concerned about my grammar and spelling. I made lots of mistakes, and I still do, but i know that I've reached the point where I can be proud of my self.
I will finalise my essay by saying that if you are learning a language please don't focuse on gramar and spelling as a beginner. But if you already started learning through grammar then don't be discouraged when you make mistakes cause they happen a lot.
