Regarding this topic - Has anyone heard of Refold and their immersion method?

I believe this is just the comprehensible input method (as a base) with a cool sounding name.

I believe exposing yourself to the language as much as possible will lead to favorable results.

I like to investigate all the methods available and see what value I can pick up from them.

For me there is so much more to learn without having a purist attitude.

I think this issue might be a little difficult to pinpoint. For now I'm just

going to observe and most of the time I use a laptop when reading in OPLingo.

I guess if other users don't have any similar problems like I'm experiencing

in using the app, then I guess I'm the lucky one. jaja.

For now I want to thank you for all the effort and I think OPLingo is going

to make (or is already making) huge waves in the language learning community.

Hasta luego!

What do you mean by "freeze moments" - buffering?

I tried using the phone app again and it seems that the freezing

happens when I select some text. I could not scroll. I could not do

anything. Not sure if others experience this but hopefully this is

not an isolated case. At this point I refresh everything and it's

difficult to go bback where you left off.

Yeah, you're right. I believe having to scroll on the sides has its own merit. And I guess

I'm trying to compare it to LingQ which is not fair as we all have our own unique style.

Anyway, the video is already floating and working well except there were some freeze

moments. But I guess for now everything's good.

Definitely I can get used to OPLingo's style.

Thank you so much for the support.

Thank you for sharing this article. Totally agree with you.

I try to immerse as much as possible. What I do is listen and watch

youtube videos. When I watch a movie, I try to find something that has

more dialogue time. Turning on the annotations in Netflix is helpful.

As for interacting with a native speaker, I believe I average around 3 hours

through a language exchange every week.

What I lack is the writing part but oh well. jaja.

Yeah, it seems that you have to scroll by the edge of the screen but the

ease of use with regards to this type of scrolling (imo) is somewhat impaired.

Anyway I'll send you a couple of videos privately.

I'm using the android app with Asus Zenfone Max.

I've used the margin after reading your reply but it does not follow anymore

the video when I scroll because I see a different text. What happens is that

the first page which has let's say 100 words in it. When I use the margin to go

to the next page I now see the next 100 words eventhough I only saw let's

say 50% of the first 100 words. Don't know if it made sense. jaja.

I usually read in a laptop using the OPLingo and what I do is I remove all

the line breaks and I separate the entire text with line breaks of my own

by simply pressing the Enter button twice. Do you have a recommended

way of formatting the text?

Reading along with audio in the android version is great but it seems

that you cannot easily pause the audio. You have to scroll back up to do

that and when you use your finger to scroll up and down the page, the

text gets highlighted.

Am I doing something incorrect? Would it be possible to only have some

sort of a floating player with only the stop-pause-play-rewind controls

that follows along while you scroll down? In your case, how do you use

the reading tool in android? Do you experience the same?

Wow! Thank you for sharing your experience. I think I would take a little break from Spanish after turning a year in a few weeks. No need to overthink this. This is just simply taking a break. The amount of time away from your language will totally depend on you. Doesn't matter if it's a week or a year. Da igual. :)

Btw... I will import your post into my reader. I need to be rewarded with some stats. It was a long article but definitely worth it. jaja!

Hi gman. We can discuss this, but are you aware that there are many online and offline tools for converting such files to text files? If you google it, you will see what I mean. That would probably be more effective than copy/paste one page at a time.

This is what I do and it works quite well. Very grateful for OPLingo and I'm glad someone shared your link over at the other site. jaja.

But it would still be nice to have a function for uploading a PDF. Also can't believe how simple it is to upload a Youtube video here. jaja.

Thank you OPLingo!
