Write & CorrectTagalog
Ang pinakamahirap na bahagi ng gramatika ng wika Tagalog.
Para sa akin, pagpili ng mga pandiwa ang pinakamahirap na bahagi ng gramatika ng wika Tagalog. Sa Ingles, kung gusto kong magbago ang pokus ng pangungusap, kailangan magbago ang diin lang. Pero sa Tagalog, kailangan magbago ang klaseng pandiwa. Grabe!

Thanks! Why do I need uri instead of klase here?

Actually "klase" is acceptable and understandable but Filipinos mostly use the word "klase" to mean "class", that which is related to education. "Uri" is the most appropriate in your sentence because it means "type" of "pandiwa"

A couple of notes:
1. I've never heard of anyone say gramatika. It is a tagalized word for grammar but if a local was to say or write that first sentence, it'd simply be: Para sa akin, ang pinakamahirap na bahagi ng wikang Filipino ay ang pagpili ng tamang pandiwa.
2. I changed Tagalog to Filipino because it is a point of contention for a lot of people. Tagalog is the dialect and lingua franca of people living in Metro Manila. Filipino is the national language. If you're learning the dialect, then yes to Tagalog. If you're learning the Philippines' national language, then it's Filipino.

1. I could do that in English too ("the hardest part" instead of "the hardest part of the grammar") but a nuance is lost. How do locals talk about grammar?
2. I'm learning "pure" Tagalog because the temptation to use English words is too great for a native English speaker. If I use them, I won't learn the Tagalog counterparts, and my listening would suffer greatly. After reaching a good level in Tagalog, I'll allow more English into my speech.
3. In your correction, you used "ang SUBJECT ay ang PREDICATE" instead of "ang PREDICATE ang SUBJECT". I almost never hear it in colloquial conversation, so I'm curious why you made this change.

1. The only time I really got into Filipino grammar was in college. And even then, we didn't use "Gramatika". The course was called: Disiplina ng Wikang Filipino. From grade school to high school, we just refer to what aspect of grammar is being discussed -- balangkas ng wika (framework or syntax), bahagi ng pananalita (parts of speech), retorika (public speaking), etc.
2. It's commendable although our culture is so mixed in with other cultures that almost nobody speaks in straight Tagalog. It's almost always a mixture of borrowed words. So if you want to be conversational, I'd recommend you learn how we mix in borrowed words. If you want to be a purist and talk like a professor or a senator, then pure Tagalog is best. :)
For example, if you ask students to take out their "kwaderno" (notebook), you'd be lucky to have 1 student get it. :) And that word is not "Tagalog" either. That's borrowed from Spanish. Same with colors. If you ask for a shirt that's "luntian" (Tagalog), they probably won't get it because more people say "berde" (Spanish). Even more just say "green". :D
3. It depends on the tone you want to use.
Si Jenny ay babae.- mostly used for written or formal form.
Babae si Jenny. - relaxed/cpnversational form.
The only thing "relaxed" from your essay was the use of "Grabe" so I changed it to a more formal sentence form.
