Hi there, I’m Diamond. It’s truly a pleasure to meet you! 😊
I’m a Certified ESL teacher, currently living in Mexico, where I teach English Conversation classes at a local school. I’ve always loved learning, and I’m genuinely passionate about how language connects us and opens doors to new opportunities. That passion is what drew me to teaching, and I’m excited to share it with you.
My approach is warm and student-centered. I design each lesson around your goals, interests, and learning style, because I believe learning should feel personal and empowering. I strive to create an immersive, nurturing environment where you're encouraged to speak openly, make mistakes without fear, and watch yourself grow with confidence and joy.
No matter your starting point, I’m here to guide and support you with engaging, practical lessons that make learning English enjoyable and effective.
A sample sentence in a language I teach:
Let’s practice speaking so you can feel more confident in real conversations!
The kind of students I'm looking for:
I enjoy working with motivated students of all English levels, who are eager to improve their communication skills, whether for school, travel, work, or personal growth. I especially appreciate students who come with a positive attitude and are open to trying new things in class.
How my background prepares me to teach:
I’m a native English speaker with experience teaching both children and adults from various backgrounds. I hold a TEFL certificate and have worked as both an online tutor and classroom teacher. My professional background also includes roles that required strong communication and interpersonal skills, which I now bring into my teaching practice.
Teaching methods or materials that I typically use during my lessons:
I use a communicative and student-centered approach that encourages speaking and active participation. I often incorporate real-life topics, visual aids, games, and personalized activities to make learning practical and engaging. I also use tools like Canva, Google Docs, online whiteboards, and digital flashcards.
Is there anything you should have or should do in advance:
Before class, it’s helpful if students have a quiet space, a stable internet connection, and something to take notes with, whether that’s a notebook or a document on your computer. If you have any specific goals, topics, or questions in mind, feel free to share them with me ahead of time so I can tailor the lesson to your needs. Most importantly, just come ready to learn and have fun!
