Favorite food from your country

We already talked about the weird foods of your country, no share with me your favorite dish from where you are from.

For me tortillas, these are different from Mexican tortillas. Ours are corn based. They grind the cooked corn and put salt and sometimes cheese and fry them. They are usually eaten for breakfast but you can have them any time of the day.

Here is a pic of different kinds of fritters we eat. They are all my favorites.

Mine is adobong baboy... i like it a little sweet and cooked until a bit dry, with bananas (saba) and boiled eggs. :yum::blush:

Sometimes I think the Philippines is a nation of foodies. It's so hard to pick a single favorite dish.

Today, my favorite dish is my wife's Sinigang na Baboy (savory pork stew). Ummm-yummmm.

But I also like to make straight, fried tilapia! (direct relation to the Nile tilapia, also known as St. Peter's fish)
