Which sentence is correct? Or, are they both correct? "I'll wait to see if there will be an alert message"/ "I'll wait to see if there is an alert message".

The 2nd is more colloquial in my mind, but I'm not sure how grammatically correct it is.

In Thailand now. Next up Tanzania and Philippines.

Both seem a little awkward. I would say "I'll wait to see if there are any alerts." (message is implied don't really need to say it)
