If you want pauses, you can make a copy of the passage, edit, paste the text to either chatgpt or perplexity, ask it to add punctuation without changing any words, then past the result back into passage.

Thanks for the tip. I'm not seriously learning Mandarin but it will come in handy for other languages with the same problem.
