Hajimemashite = Nice to meet you (for the first time)


Sumimasen = Excuse me (formal)


Gomennasai = Sorry (polite)


O genki de = Take care


Suki desu = I like it


mou ichidou itte kudasai = Please say it again


Hisashiburi = It’s been a while


Jaa mata = See you

Ja Mata = See you later or Goodbye


Shitsurei Shimasu = Please Excuse Me (for Leaving) - I am wondering if I can use Sumimasen


Wakarimasen = I dont understand


Yokatta = Great! - I always here this word in anime

oishii desu = Its delicious!


onaka ga suite imasu = Im hungry.


mata sugu ni kimasu yo = I’ll be back soon

start from the beginning...

o namae wa nan desu ka = What’s your name?

douitashimashite = You’re welcome.

mondai nai yo = No problem.

Sugoi = Wow! or Amazing!

Kakkoii = Cool!


Repeat these phrases:

Nice. Are you aware that there is stress (technically called pitch accent) in Japanese words? It's not as important or prominent as stress in Tagalog, but I admit now that I wish I had learned the pitch accent at the same time I learned new Japanese vocabulary.
