Hello,

I'm trying to read Ancient Greek on Language Crush, but Google Translate interprets it as Modern Greek, so I was wondering if you could add a dictionary for Ancient Greek?

https://logeion.uchicago.edu/ is good because it also parses the grammatical forms.

Thank you in advance!

This is for the reading tool. It pulls word definitions from Google Translate, but it will also have the option of giving you definitions from your favorite dictionaries. So if you have suggestions of dictionaries to add, please list them here.

Hello, I can see in the instructional videos on how to use LanguageCrush that Tagalog.com used to be a supported dictionary but it is no longer? Why is that?

They changed some things which made it impossible for us to access their site.

Sorry, but monolingual dictionaries don't work in our reading tool.

Thank you, @Leosmith. It would be great to have these dictionaries available because it would make language crush the only app, as far as I know, a reliable medium for C1 and C2 levels. In the Danish language, there are no online dictionaries that are accurate and it is not possible to learn from them above A2-B1 levels. Danish - Danish dictionaries are essential in this sense. However, I will try to find a better multilingual one and suggest here.

Learning Chinese - Cantonese

Hello!

Would it be possible to include https://cantonese.org/ as a dictionary for Cantonese? Also, how can I disable the popup dictionary altogether while reading? To be completely honest, overall I enjoy the reading tool, but as far as Cantonese is concerned, the dictionary it uses is not comprehensive... I usually use a Chrome add-on called Cantonese Popup Dictionary. However, the reading tool's dictionary overrides it and its translation appears over the popup's, hence Im suggesting either a better Cantonese dictionary, or the option to disable it altogether :)

Keep up the good work!

EDITED: btw, Im using the desktop reading tool

Thank you for the quick implementation! :)

Now that I made this the default one, I still dont think the rader tool's popup dictionary translates a word's meaning based on cantonese.org's definition, or am I wrong?

The pop-up doesn't change to the default dictionary.

Got it. If this can't be implemented, disabling the pop up dict. would also be a handy option. Thank you for looking into it!

Do you mean disable the hover-over pop-up, or disable the pop-up even when you click on a word?

Sorry, I meant the hover-over function.

Ok, I wrote a ticket to make this a setting which can be turned off.

We don't want to change it to be based on a single dictionary by design. As it works now, if you don't select(check mark) a specific definition, the hover-over defaults to the most popular one. A lot of people create their own definitions, sometimes copied from other dictionaries, so forcing it to display a single dictionary would defeat the whole purpose for designing it like this.

Sounds fair. Thanks for the explanation! Hopefully an option to to turn it off would be possible :)

I just noticed that there is the option to disable the popover dictionary! Thank you very much for implementing this!
