Because personality is more influenced by the culture and customs of a society and a family. And language is a channel that is used to express those learnt behaviors.

Hello i have a recommendation for you to make this website better. Kindly sort the topic either date wise or activity wise. Newest topics should be at the top followed older ones or you can sort by the number of comments and views so that when a member open the forum he knows what is most discussed area at this time. You can even make tabs to facilitate the visitor, it could be like creating "recent" , "most discussed" etc. i am going to attach a screenshot kindly review it. It seems disorganized right now.

I think that accent plays a little in language, the most important aspect is comprehension of the listener. Your language must be flawless, comprehensive and enrich with sound vocab. once you master these area, it is time to think about accent. I personally like British accent.

Life is too fast, bulk of tasks and shortage of time. Precision, less labor and higher efficiency are perhaps the intentions to opt contractions.

Connotation is implied meaning whereas denotation is literal or dictionary meaning of a words. For example Home "A place where people live" it is the dictionary meaning whereas "Sense of security, shelter, affection" are connotations attached with a word.

Do you think that you feel more expressed and emotionally eased when communicating in your native language than the foreign language? My view is yes i feel more relaxed and released when expressing love or other emotions in my native language.

How will you tackle your wife if she is a foreign language speaker? What are your views? Will it hinder in your emotional bonding? Obviously you people will speak one language in which you might not have much expertise but you wont speak in your native languages. Looking for interesting answers :)
alright thank you for the feedback
yes you are very right and i do believe the same. both of them are equally important but i think syntax is one step ahead from semantics because words are meaningless unless they are correctly used. One must be well aware of different rules of grammar so that right form of verb is used and intended message is conveyed. What if i wanted to refer to past and could not use the right form of the verb so they both go hand to hand and yes one cant express his thoughts until equipped by strong diction. So i will prioritize syntax over semantics as a first stage to language learning. :)
Which one is preferred by you guys Oxford or Cambridge dictionary?
Syntax vs Semantics which one is most important and should be learnt first in your veiws?
yes i believe the same
lolz alright, so did i. :p

You are right but one can speak flawless when well aware of the syntax of a certain language. And yes spoken is usually overlooked and the result is people are not good speakers.
